THE QUESTAR LIBRARY
A Marguerite Braymer Foundation

Housed in a rustic eighteenth-century stone building just west of New Hope, Pennsylvania, The Questar Library opened to the public in 1984. The Questar Library of Science and Art, as it was first named, still reflects the main focus of the collection. The personal libraries of Dr. Douglas Knight and the late Mrs. Marguerite Braymer were combined to form the original collection of approximately 3,500 volumes. With further book donations over the years from Dr. Knight and other friends of the library, the collection has grown to almost 7,000 volumes. We are presently organizing and cataloguing our holdings. Along with Fine Arts and General Science, we are strengthening our collection in the areas of Architecture, Antiques and Cultural Artifacts, Biography, and History. We receive new material monthly and are always looking for helpful book donations in the above subject areas.Throughout the year, the library hosts various musical and cultural events for its members and invited guests. We are presently developing our schedule. Stay tuned to this page for updates. We are presently open Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and by appointment. For assistance, please contact our Librarian, Ben Turner, at (215) 862-5811.
